Debussy: Pelléas et Mélisande

In May 2023, I sang Benjamin Britten's song cycle Les Illuminations withTheater Orchester Biel Solothurn (CH), conducted by Christoph Campestrini. The cycle consists of nine songs set to texts by Arthur Rimbaud. I fell in love with the music immediately, but the text was quite challenging—it was incredibly difficult and wild. To deepen my understanding of the piece and aid in memorization, I began creating illustrations for the songs.

In May 2024, I created a project titled Fragments, which was an object theater performance centered around György Kurtág's song cycle József Attila Fragments (1982), written for solo soprano. The illustrations were also part of the performance.
